What this is

Heaven on Earth is a story series told in art, shared with invited members for artistic and reflective purposes: to inspire and to enlighten.

Episode 1, Through the Fridge, is the first. A family opens an ordinary door and walks through a world of corridors, windows, halls and gates. Six of its places are next.

A rainbow bridge winding through clouds toward a golden gate, with floating cities and waterfalls around it.
I

The rainbow bridge

The road up is made of light, and it is wider than it looks.

A long golden hallway lined with doors of every kind, some with faces, stretching to a bright vanishing point.
II

The hallway of doors

Every door is a lifetime. Most people use the same one twice.

A vast starlit hall of blue and gold columns where a crowned Osiris sits enthroned beside a sleeping crocodile and a patient queue of pale spirits.
III

The Hall of Two Truths

Drawn from the old Egyptian tradition of the heart weighed against a feather. Here, the queue is long and the judge is courteous.

A shimmering corridor of tall arched windows, each opening onto a different story: a king by a great wheel, a desert, a small figure in a top hat.
IV

The window corridor

Each window holds a life that someone once asked about. They are all episodes.

From a mountain edge at dusk, a river winds through a dark, misty valley with scattered lights. A tiny figure carries a lantern.
V

The gate, looking down

Heaven is finished. The difficulty is delivery. Far below, someone has already started.

A warm living room seen through glass: a soft couch, a framed landscape, plants, a glowing lamp and gold light.
VI

The gold of an ordinary room

A couch, a lamp, a plant. The place you carry it down to.
